The Foreign Languages Centre constitutes an inter-faculty academic unit of the University of the National Education Commission, Kraków. The Centre is responsible for the provision and coordination of foreign language instruction in English, German, Russian, French, Spanish, and Italian across all fields of study. Completion of language courses conducted by the Foreign Languages Centre enables students to attain proficiency at the B2 or C1 level, in accordance with the Polish National Qualifications Framework and the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Within first-cycle (undergraduate) degree programmes, foreign language instruction commences in the second semester of the first year of study and concludes with a final examination administered after the fourth semester. The total instructional load amounts to 110 contact hours. For full-time students, the programme is delivered over three semesters (40 + 40 + 30 hours). For part-time students, instruction is conducted over three semesters (30 + 30 + 30 hours), with the exception of the Pre-School and Early-School Education Unit, where the programme extends over four semesters (30 + 25 + 25 + 30 hours).
At the second-cycle (postgraduate) level, both in full-time and part-time modes of study, the Centre offers two specialised 15-hour courses: Foreign Language for Academic Purposes and English at Work.
